As part of MIBYUL’s global expansion, I recently traveled to Singapore for business. During my stay, an urgent and important meeting was arranged with a key buyer based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia! 🤝

To find the most efficient meeting place for both parties, we decided to meet at a strategic midpoint: Johor Bahru, the vibrant border city bridging Singapore and Malaysia. 🚗💨

As soon as I crossed the border from Singapore into Johor Bahru, I was blown away by the hotel's location. The primary reason we selected this property was its accessibility—it is located a mere 5-minute walk from JB Sentral Station, the primary transportation hub for border crossings.

Rolling my luggage over was completely effortless, making checking in right after crossing the border stress-free. Plus, the connected City Square shopping mall offered endless dining and shopping options within steps. 👍

🍪 Warm Signature Cookies & Spacious Luxury Rooms 🛏️

Upon check-in, I was greeted with DoubleTree’s famous warm signature chocolate chip cookie, which immediately melted away my travel fatigue! 🍫🥰

The room itself was remarkably spacious, clean, and modern. It featured a generous work desk and an ergonomic chair—an absolute essential for business travelers needing to handle emails on the go. Coupled with Hilton’s plush, premium bedding, I enjoyed deep, restorative sleep every night.

The panoramic window offered a scenic view of Johor Bahru's skyline stretching toward the strait separating the two countries. 🌆

💼 A Successful Business Meeting at the Executive Lounge ☕

The highlight of the trip—our strategy session with the Kuala Lumpur buyer—took place at the hotel’s Executive Lounge.

The next morning, it was time for the much-anticipated breakfast buffet at Makan Kitchen! True to its reputation, the spread was truly impressive. 🤤

Reflecting Johor Bahru’s multicultural border heritage, the buffet was divided into distinct culinary zones:

1. Western: Freshly baked pastries, an egg live station, crispy bacon, and sausages.

2. Malaysian: Aromatic Nasi Lemak, savory Rendang, and authentic Laksa.

3. Indian: Freshly cooked Naan, rich Roti Canai, and flavorful curries.

4. Chinese: Steamed Dim Sum, comforting Conjee (rice porridge), and live noodle soup stations.

It offered something delicious for every palate, making it a fantastic start to the day! ❤️
