Today, I’m taking a short break from skincare science to introduce a hidden fashion hotspot I stumbled upon on Orchard Road!

This boutique is a absolute holy grail for local teens and 20-somethings in Singapore, filled with stylish, trend-forward clothing perfectly tailored to the tropical climate. I loved it so much last year that I made sure to revisit it during this trip. Let’s check it out together! 👏

📍 Look for the Gorilla: Peranakan Place 2F at Emerald Hill Road 🏢

Orchard Road is world-famous for its massive luxury malls, but this hidden gem offers a much more unique, indie-boutique vibe.

It is located right at the entrance of Emerald Hill Road—famous for its gorgeous Peranakan architecture—on the 2nd floor of the 'Peranakan Place' building!

Because there isn't a massive storefront sign on the street, it can be easy to miss. The key identifier to look out for is the artwork of a gorilla wearing sunglasses hanging right at the entrance! 🕶️🦍

Once you spot this cool gorilla artwork, you’ve arrived at the right place! Just follow the stairs up to the second floor to enter.

The moment you step inside, you can feel the bustling energy! The shop is filled with lightweight, breathable fabrics perfectly suited for Singapore’s warm, humid weather, alongside chic, modern silhouettes favoured by local fashion lovers.

From trendy crop tops and breezy summer dresses to stylish trousers, there is a look for every aesthetic.

When I visited last year, I was amazed by how packed it was—and returning this year, it was just as lively and crowded with local shoppers! 🔥 It was so busy that I couldn't even capture full wide-angle photos of the interior, proving just how much of a local favorite it truly is. 😎

If you are planning a trip or business travel to Singapore, skip the repetitive high-street chains for a moment and pop into the 2nd floor of Peranakan Place near Emerald Hill. Hunting for the gorilla art entrance and browsing through local, tropical-chic clothing is such a fun experience. 🤍
