While I usually share skincare science, business travel diaries, and community volunteer stories, today I want to introduce a serene cultural destination nestled in Yangsan, South Korea: Hongryongsa Temple and its breathtaking Hongryong Waterfall.

🌲 A Temple Embraced by Nature: Hongryongsa at Mt. Cheonseong ⛩️✨

Located on the slopes of Mt. Cheonseong, Hongryongsa is an ancient temple founded over a thousand years ago during the Silla Dynasty by the legendary monk Wonhyo. From the moment you step onto the temple grounds, the lush green canopy and soothing sound of mountain streams instantly refresh your body and mind. 🌿

Unlike most traditional Buddhist temples in Korea, Hongryongsa is world-famous for housing a magnificent, roaring waterfall directly within its grounds!

According to local legend, as Monk Wonhyo preached sacred scriptures to his disciples, a heavenly dragon descended to listen before riding the clouds into the sky—leaving behind this majestic waterfall in its wake. 🐉☁️

🌊 A Cascade of Rainbows: The Majestic Hongryong Waterfall 💦

As you walk up the stone pathways following the sound of rushing water, the spectacular Hongryong Waterfall reveals itself!

Cascading down steep rocky cliffs, the waterfall creates a fine, misty veil in the air. On sunny days, the light filtering through the mist forms vivid, delicate rainbows over the ravine, creating an otherworldly, fairytale atmosphere. 🌈

The harmony between the historic Gwaneumjeon shrine perched right beside the misty cascade makes this one of the most picturesque, healing spots in the region!

Hongryongsa holds a deeply cherished spiritual belief passed down for generations.

It is said that if you pray with a pure and earnest heart at the small Gwaneumjeon shrine right next to the falling waters, the Buddha will grant you one true wish. 🤫✨

Because of this spiritual tradition, visitors from all across the country travel here to offer prayers. Beside the waterfall, there is a dedicated area where pilgrims write their deepest hopes onto wooden wish plaques ("Sowonmok") and hang them up:

• "May my family always stay healthy and happy." (Family Health)

• "May our business flourish and prosper." (Business Success)

• "Please help me pass my upcoming examination!" (Academic/Career Goals)

Reading through these colorful, heartfelt plaques filled my heart with warmth. I also took a moment to write a wish plaque—praying for the health, happiness, and radiant skin of all our MIBYUL family, as well as our brand's global journey! 🥰
