One of the core objectives of this Singapore trip was an important strategy session with a leading local influencer marketing agency. Since their office was located near Chinatown, we chose the [Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre] as our strategic base!

📍 Walkable to Top Attractions: Unbeatable Location 🚶♀️✨

The absolute best feature of this property is its prime, central location!

Being situated right near Chinatown made commuting to our meeting with the influencer agency completely seamless.

What’s even better is that most of Singapore's iconic landmarks and cultural attractions are within walking distance! From exploring the bustling streets and famous food spots of Chinatown to taking a relaxing evening stroll to admire the city skyline, the location was nothing short of perfection.

Because of its strategic position, it is a large, energetic hotel that is always buzzing with global travelers. 👍

🌿 The Balcony Room Choice: Cozy, Fresh & Functional 🛏️

As is typical with most downtown Singapore hotels, standard room sizes tend to be quite compact and designed around practicality.

However, I intentionally booked a Balcony Room, which proved to be the ultimate decision! 😎

The open balcony eliminated any feeling of being enclosed. It was so refreshing to step outside in the mornings and evenings to feel the breeze, sip on a warm cup of coffee, and catch up on work notes. Compact yet thoughtfully designed, the room provided everything a business traveler needs for a comfortable, restful sleep.

🏊♀️ An Urban Oasis: Spacious Outdoor Pool & Fitness Center 🏋️♂️

If I had to pick the absolute highlight of this hotel, it would definitely be the swimming pool! 🌊✨

It features an impressively large and beautiful outdoor pool that feels completely detached from the busy city surrounding it. Surrounded by lush greenery and comfortable sun loungers, it was the perfect sanctuary to unwind and recharge after an intense day of meetings.

If you are visiting Singapore for leisure, spending a relaxing day by this pool alone makes the stay completely worth it!

• Fitness Center: While compact in size, it is well-maintained with all the essential cardio and strength equipment needed for a quick workout during your stay. 💪

🍳 Simple & Refreshing Breakfast Experience 🥐☕

The breakfast buffet offered a clean, well-balanced selection of standard international breakfast staples.

Before heading out to our early influencer meeting, I fueled up with made-to-order eggs, fresh pastries, and chilled fruit juice.

Pro Tip: Since the hotel is right next to Chinatown, there are also countless famous local breakfast spots nearby if you want to venture out for traditional Kaya Toast or Laksa! 😉

The Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre served as a fantastic springboard for our successful business trip in Singapore.

With its unbeatable proximity to Chinatown and major attractions, its serene resort-style pool, and the cozy comfort of its balcony rooms, I highly recommend this hotel to both business professionals and vacationers alike! 🤍
